WELCOME TO OUR LITTLE PIECE OF CYBERSPACE!!!
We are a privately-run professional recording studio, located just north of the metropolitan Toronto area. Designed and built with music production in mind, we cater to musicians, engineers, and producers who love warm vintage sounds and a relaxed and private creative environment as much as we do......after all, we are musicians too!
The heart of DNA Recording Facility beats in an acoustically true 24' x 22' control room. Featuring an SSL 4080 G/G+ analog recording console with Ultimation (motorized faders), Total Recall, 3 1/2" floppy drives, full G+ center section (and a bunch of very cool mods by SSL and ourselves), this mammoth console has produced nothing but hits for years. Our rack hosts some of the best vintage and state the art outboard equipment such as Neve, Pultec, RCA, Urei, Chandler, API, and Empirical Labs. Our Pro Tools system is an HD3 Accel with a generous selection of plug-ins, accessed through 32 inputs and 64 outputs of warm Apogee digital audio converters. With a 30" Apple Cinema Display, and a dual quad core Mac Pro, this room is ready to meet any and all of your requirements.
The control room has a large, open feel...and an 'easy to use' layout. Two tie bays mounted on the rear of the outboard rack allow for easy connection of any external equipment. The raised producer's area resides at the rear of the room. A large granite countertop, comfortable couches, and lush red fabric walls assist the creativity level. With super loud, and super clean custom designed main monitors capable of accurately reproducing 20Hz to 20KHz, this control room can easily handle any genre of music. We have been told by many of our well-respected clients that we have one of the most true and nicest sounding control rooms in the city!
